Nicole Salazar

I am a senior at Brien McMahon High school. I am part of the IB Diploma Programme and I enjoy learning new things every day. Some of my hobbies include reading, painting, listening to music, as well as hiking. My whole family is from Colombia, so I am very passionate about the country. I enjoyed writing my capstone and being able to learn new things about my country.

Final Project

I chose to write about the portrayal of Colombians in contemporary media because this is a topic that is very important to me. My goal was to highlight all of the things that have helped changed the way Americans view Colombians. This essay has allowed me to research something that is very close to me while being able to express myself.
